Search Background

TomTom was looking for an exceptional SVP Sales to lead the Automotive business through a period of transition. Having had a track record of successfully working with Erevena before they approached us to run the search. Reporting to the CRO, this was a key leadership role within TomTom Automotive and the wider business. This person would be responsible for all business development activities and securing and building partnerships with high-profile Automotive customers. They would be accountable for 100s of millions in revenue and ~50 FTEs globally.

Requirements

The successful candidate would bring a blend of commercial and operational experience and have a strong understanding of the automotive industry. They would be familiar with negotiating complex and strategic partnerships, coupled with an existing network across global OEMs and tier one suppliers at C-level.

Result

Erevena conducted a global search, prioritising commercial leaders within the automotive domain. This led to the placement of Benoit Joly who brings in-depth domain knowledge, as the former Chief Commercial Officer at Wejo, the smart mobility platform, as well as 5 years working on the OEM side for Renault where he gained exposure working with mapping and navigation technologies. Benoit joins the TomTom team on 1st March 2024.
