Search Background

Ben raised a $16m Series A, led by Atomico Ventures in August 2023. This investment would allow Ben to ‘move even faster in making benefits work for everyone, everywhere’. The Founders identified a need to hire a highly skilled and experienced VP Sales to join the team. This strategic hire was crucial for the company’s growth and success in a competitive market. As a rapidly growing startup, Ben recognized the need for a VP Sales to drive repeatability and scale revenue, expand the customer base, and establish strategic partnerships. The VP Sales would play a pivotal role in developing and executing sales strategies, managing the sales team, and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders.

Requirements

Ben required a modern, data-driven VP Sales with experience building out a high-performing sales org in one of the top B2B SaaS vendors. They would need to be familiar with the fast-paced, VC-backed startup environment and able to wear a few hats—from sales operations, hands on selling, recruitment, and sales strategy.  The VP Sales would be a talented coach with a passion for nurturing and developing their team. They would thrive giving and receiving feedback and be ready to join Ben on a journey of self-development, company success, and personal success.

Jim Preston is an experienced sales leader, who has led successful growth journeys from single digit to double digit millions in tier 1 venture backed environments. Most recently as the VP Sales at SEDNA (Insight, Stride), and previously with Showpad (Dawn, Insight) where he was responsible for Sales and GTM in EMEA. Jim now has the best job in the world and is now leveraging all his experience as a pivotal part of a mission-led startup with huge ambitions to make benefits better and more beautiful than before.
