Search Background

Stravito’s Founders and Board needed to hire a VP Sales to replace a recently departed incumbent. They wanted to take the opportunity to hire a sales leader who had previous experience of growing revenue in a similar size business to Stravito. The VP Sales would be responsible for leading the development and execution of the new business commercial strategy for Stravito by enhancing the existing GTM model to rapidly scale new business revenue in line with company objectives. Inheriting a small, distributed sales team, the VP Sales would be responsible for growing the sales team in Europe and in the U.S. in line with revenue objectives.


It was imperative the successful candidate had situational relevance with previous experience leading another scaleup SaaS business through a similar revenue growth journey. It was essential the candidate was a modern, data-driven, analytical sales leader with world class sales execution, rigour and discipline. The successful candidate needed to be culturally aligned with Stravito: highly collaborative, ambitious and able to work well in a meritocratic flat organization. They would need to provide inspirational leadership and be adept at coaching and developing the existing team. The successful candidate would also need to demonstrate they thrived under the sort of pressure driven by the demands of a hyper-growth, venture backed company growing 100% YoY.


Erevena identified and introduced Fabian Schaeffer, who had considerable experience scaling revenue as a Sales Leader at His experience of scaling from €1.5mm to €47mm in ARR and growing the sales team from 2 to 50+ people made him a strong choice. The Founding team also placed high emphasis on cultural fit and Fabian’s low ego approach, combined with his inspirational leadership and collaborative nature made him a perfect fit.
