They are backed by Accel, Partech and Salesforce Ventures.
Search Background
This was the third search that Erevena has carried out for Privitar. The Product function had traditionally reported into the CTO. However, as the business grew rapidly it needed to become a distinct function with a professional Product leader to build out the organization.
Requirements
Privitar needed a Product leader who was modern in their product management thinking. Someone who was highly customer-centric and familiar with building products for Chief Information Security Officers and Chief Information Officers. In addition, they needed to have experience of scaling a business alongside an understanding of how a product organization grows and its relationships with other parts of the organization.
Result
Marc Moesse is a MIT Computer Science graduate and as such has a deeply technical background. Starting out in Software Engineering before moving across into Product Management 10 years ago, he learned the craft of product management at Veracode. Under his leadership, his Product lines saw high double digit to triple digit growth. He then moved to a GV and Sequoia backed security vendor which was disrupting the space and took over Product from one of the Founders. Here he built out the product team to 8 people.
Marc Moesse
VP Product, Privitar
I’m thrilled to join Privitar. We are leading the way in Data Privacy with excellent leadership, culture, team, investors and growth trajectory. As this was an International recruitment process, we never would have found each other and we wouldn’t have closed out the process so quickly without the expertise and hard work of Grant and the rest of the team.
