Termgrid was launched in 2020 with a mission to make the $5 trillion+ private debt asset class more efficient, transparent, and liquid. Termgrid sits at the heart of the debt transaction process and connects lenders with borrowers providing a platform which facilitates the finding of relevant lenders, execution of transactions and the management of a debt portfolio. The solution is underpinned by a first-in-industry data platform that delivers a data rich experience to users, allowing them to drive strategic and high value decisions.
Having been introduced to and subsequently retained Erevena, Termgrid were at a stage where marketing was at the core of its strategy and required a functional expert to join to define, develop and execute the marketing strategy which would propel their growth. The purpose of the role was to set a clear demand generation strategy, ensuring alignment with objectives for ambitious growth and market share development, while also carrying out a broader marketing scope involving content production and attendance at industry events.
The successful candidate for the role needed to have a strong track record in the defining and building of a demand generation strategy, preferably with demonstrable success in capital markets. They would bring a proven ability to engage and present to business leaders from within relevant organisations and be able to build, orchestrate and manage a clear marketing calendar that supports continuous pipeline growth.
Erevena conducted a thorough search of the market, engaging with marketing leaders from some of the best-known organisations from across the capital markets technology industry. The team brought together a strong shortlist with Kate Hodge emerging as the favourite candidate. Having exposure to sell-side and vendor firms within trading, investment decision software and fintech providers (Jane Street, Tradweb and latterly Symphony.com), Kate was ideally placed to join the business as a functional expert while also fulfilling her desire to join an early-stage business with significant growth potential.
