Founded in 2014 by Alex Morris, Archie Campbell and Gerard Keeley, Vidsy connects the world’s Fortune 500 companies with content creators to produce video and digital content at scale, helping brands connect more dynamically with their consumers. In their most recent round of funding, Vidsy raised $16.5 million to accelerate transatlantic market expansion and further develop its platform and services for both brands and creators.
Prior to the search, the Marketing function was predominantly driven by the CEO and Founder. Vidsy were looking for their first senior leader of the Marketing function to structure and grow a team to take them to the next stage of their growth. The incoming VP Marketing would need a blend of the early-stage growth mindset, coupled with a deep understanding of enterprise marketing initiatives and the Martech landscape.
Vidsy needed a VP Marketing that was stage appropriate for where they were on their journey. The incoming VP would inherit a small and young team and be tasked with growing the team and building structure and process into the Marketing function, so the team is set up for success. The primary clientele for Vidsy are large enterprises so they required somebody with strong Account Based Marketing experience in the enterprise space. Revenue growth is a priority so the Marketing leader would partner closely with the CCO and all of the other Sales and Commercial stakeholders within the business, ensuring that Marketing initiatives were directly supporting revenue growth. Despite being London Headquartered, North America is a major growth market for Vidsy, so the ideal candidate would have global exposure particularly focusing on the North American and European regions. The incoming VP Marketing needed to have an early-stage orientation, to instill structure and processes into the team, grow out the team in line with Vidsy’s growth, while also driving revenue marketing initiatives.
We placed Corri Love in the position of VP Marketing. Previously she was VP Marketing and Strategic Alliances at Corra. A key reason we valued Corri’s experience was not only due to her being a full-fledged marketing executive with a focus on field, revenue and account-based marketing but also her growth mindset and her strong working relationships with sales on enablement initiatives.
Corri was interested in the Vidsy solution, their stage and their growth orientation. Her experience of building teams and structuring processes for a marketing organization make her a successful match.
