Siilo were growing at a rapid pace and needed a COO to lead the strategy and execution of the near to medium term targets of the business. The COO would be responsible for crafting the GTM functions, implementing data-driven operations and work closely with Marketing and the Prisma team.
The successful candidate needed to have experience in leading operational and commercially functions in fast-growing businesses and demonstrate a clear leadership ability that enables a wide-ranging group of functional leaders to operate successfully together. This person would work closely with the executive team and the Board as a sparring partner.
Erevena identified and introduced Esther van der Meer to Siilo. Esther brings over 15 years’ international leadership experience with a track record across marketing, sales and operational excellence. Bringing full P&L ownership experience across teams of 200+, Esther combines this with an ability to operate in fast-paced businesses, venture-backed businesses. Esther gained experience at Booking.com early in her career, working closely with the CEO.
Founder and CEO
Erevena understands the dynamics around the COO role in relation to the founder/CEO role very, very well. This established a clean process where they generated a lot of confidence and trust between us and the candidate. This proved to be extremely effective in terms of getting the best COO on board we could possibly dream of.
