Search Background
Following the successful sale of Nuvias Group to Infinigate, Nuvias UC was spun-out as an independent entity focused on unified comms. Having appointed Joel Chimoindes as CEO and Gwyn Hicks as CFO in early 2023, the business needed a COO to develop the operational capabilities internationally and drive the digital transformation agenda across the business.
Requirements
Nuvias UC was seeking a COO who could be responsible for overall business operations, leading strategic relationships with vendors, delivering superior customer experience, implementing operational efficiencies across multi-country supply chains and leading digital transformation and automation projects. The business needed someone to lead and develop the operational organisation to aid the business as it scales and internationalises, with the gravitas and presence to act as a trusted voice on the Board.
The search was focused on candidates with experience delivering digital transformation and operational efficiency within a fast-growing distribution or wider IT services business.
Result
Erevena executed a search across the UK, ultimately securing Mike Curtis from Europe’s largest IT hardware and solutions provider, Bechtle. Mike has been in the IT industry for almost 30 years, working for systems integrators, solution providers and value-added resellers, bringing extensive experience in strategy creation, business transformation, operations management and solutions development. After founding his own managed service business LinuxIT and scaling it over a five-year period through sale to Claranet, Mike joined Softcat shortly after their IPO to establish their service offering, scaling this to a £140m revenue business in just 3 years and contributing to the companies’ fast growth from £400m to £1.4bn. Mike has spent the last 3 years with Bechtle as Service Director, assisting with Go to Market strategy, product innovation, operational efficiency and M&A globally. Mike joined Nuvias UC in June 2023.
