Moneyfarm is a digital wealth manager that provides a unique combination of simple investment advice and discretionary management to help people grow their wealth over time. First launched in 2012 and headquartered in the UK, it simplifies investments and offers advice on diversified portfolios to deliver sustainable growth through a range of asset classes. Operating through both an online platform and an app, Moneyfarm’s approach to investment combines human empathy and financial expertise with the efficiency of technology to deliver cost-effective advice and investment solutions to every user. The company is led by co-founders Giovanni Daprà and Paolo Galvani and regulated by the FCA. It is backed by Allianz Global Investors, Cabot Square Capital, United Ventures, and Poste Italiane.
Moneyfarm wanted to focus on further consolidating and developing their B2C business across Europe. As such, they were seeking to appoint a Chief Commercial and Product Officer who could take full responsibility and ownership of the B2C business, owning the revenue line. Moneyfarm wanted to appoint someone who could build and lead a large multinational, cross-functional team with prior experience of owning a P&L.
Suitable candidates needed to have experience from a leading consumer-focused business, preferably from a regulated environment. Candidates also preferably needed to have a commercial skew to their background, having grown up in either marketing, revenue, or product management with recent general management experience. Candidates should have been part of a similarly high-growth environment to Moneyfarm or a technology business of scale.
Erevena conducted a search across the UK and Italy for leaders who had experience running multiple commercial functions in high-growth consumer digital businesses. Isabelle Pinson was placed in June 2021. She had a strong reputation at Expedia, having spent ten years with the business gaining expertise across P&L management, E-commerce, Marketing, Strategy, and Sales in a data-driven environment.
