Founded in 2016, they are now over 160 people having raised a total of over $130M from tier 1 VCs (Balderton and Iris Capital). Their mission is to create a uniquely digitally driven car experience that will not only redefine the car rental industry ($80B) but transform our relationship with cars entirely.

Background

Virtuo had reached a stage of growth where they felt they needed to hire someone with  more experience than their current Head of Talent and People.

Requirements

Virtuo was looking for an international profile with enough professional experience to be the one structuring and developing the HR team and be the voice for all employees. Being part of the C level, the candidate would also need to be sufficiently assertive and punchy. Working with all functions, the person needs to have a clear understanding of how a business is run operationally and logistically and be business minded. The company’s culture and leadership style being about empowerment and care, the candidate needed to have also demonstrated appropriate soft skills and have worked in people led-businesses.

Result

We placed Chloe Allen as their VP People.
