Malt was looking for a seasoned Marketing leader to act as a strategic partner for the leadership team and impact the entire business, whilst also functionally structuring and scaling a young Marketing organisation. They were looking for an Entrepreneurially minded CMO who had experience of the journey from early stage through scale up, while bringing a strong B2B pedigree to drive a targeted account-based marketing strategy and growth across the Enterprise segment.
It was agreed that we needed a tried and tested leader who had a structured “best practice” approach for leading the Marketing organisation while also being hands-on and resilient to the pace of a scale up. The ideal candidate would have a prior track record on an executive leadership team and would come with the strategic mindset to impact positive change across the broader organisation. The candidate needed to have a broad functional expertise, with a deep understanding of a modern Enterprise marketing approach and how to define and drive strong Product Marketing and Account Based Marketing initiatives.
After an extensive global search, engaging with candidates nationally and Francophone executives abroad, we placed Segolene Finet into the role. She brings a blended background in start-ups, scaleups and large enterprises, along with a 7 years’ tenure as a Founder of her own venture. She has been in senior leadership positions in the Enterprise software space for 20+ years of her career, working with PeopleSoft/Oracle in France and Internationally, joining TalentSoft in 2013 and scaling the business through four rounds of funding from a pre-series A position. Segolene’s skillset and experience is entirely unique across the French and Francophone world and we believe a phenomenal fit for the Malt leadership team and the business challenges facing them.
