After 21 years as CEO, Dan Hyde will transition into the newly created, full-time role of Executive Chair, focusing on client-facing activities and market strategy. Following a comprehensive search process, internally and externally, Jonas Helgesson will be promoted to CEO (effective immediately), marking an exciting new chapter for the business. Helgesson has been with the firm for 4 years and has been instrumental in growing the Northern Europe presence.
This change reflects the firm’s ongoing growth and commitment to meeting the demands of an increasingly competitive and complex market. With this new structure, Hyde will move away from the day-to-day management of the business to dedicate more time to client relationships and market-facing activities. This shift will help Erevena expand its capacity and better serve its clients, which include Mistral.ai, DeepL, Photoroom, Nothing, Celonis, Helsing, Asana and more, while also providing greater focus on strategic initiatives.
Dan Hyde commented, “For many years Jon [Irvine] and I had hoped that we would build a business that someone else would want to lead, and that day has come! It’s the right time for this transition and Jonas is the perfect person to lead the company into its next phase. This is part of multiple developments happening this year for Erevena, and I’m energised to continue contributing to the firm’s growth and direction in this new role.”
Jonas Helgesson, who joined Erevena in 2020, shared his excitement for the future: “I’m honored to be stepping into the CEO role at such an exciting time. Led by Dan and Jon, the team have built an exceptional reputation and international footprint. I’m looking forward to leading the firm as we continue to innovate and grow. This transition is an important step as we take a more holistic approach to talent advisory and executive search and drive new opportunities in key markets.”
This leadership transition builds on the recent strategic appointments of two key industry experts. Gavin Holland has joined Erevena as Partner. Gavin started his career in Executive Search, spending more than a decade at Heidrick & Struggles in London and New York, as well as running the organisations’ EMEA Financial Services business. He joins Erevena from billion-dollar asset manager, Anthemis, where he served as President overseeing all Fundraising and Investor Relations as well as Business Development. He also built the Talent platform and established the Portfolio Success and Ecosystem Development teams. Danielle Le Toullec also joins as Chief Marketing Officer. With 16 years of experience in B2B marketing, venture capital, and innovation advisory, she will focus on reinvigorating its global marketing strategy and scaling the firm’s brand presence.
This leadership evolution signals a new phase for Erevena as it continues to deliver top-tier executive search services for high-growth companies in the technology and digital sectors. With a focus on both existing and emerging markets, Erevena plans to explore new avenues for growth, including expanding its service offerings and deepening its relationships with clients.
