Search Background

Corelight has almost 250 employees and had announced a Series D of $75M just before the beginning of the search. The business wanted to scale effectively and intentionally through their next phase. This hire would be continuing the good work from a highly respected former VP People in the business who had helped the company grow to this point.

Requirements

Corelight had built an experienced leadership team of people who had succeeded in corporate environments and had built start-up companies. We needed to find a People leader that would fit well with this calibre of leadership team, while being able to be a custodian of the culture of the business. Corelight mark themselves by distinct cultural values; tireless service, low-ego results, and applied curiosity. We also wanted to ensure the People leader could work well with structured, analytical thinkers.

Result

Loree Farrar was hired as a strong fit culturally, philosophically, and with a breadth of experience across different contexts that demonstrate she can build while playing a role on a proven and serious executive team. Loree was the VP of HR at InsideView over an 8 year period and through an acquisition by Demandbase. She also held senior positions with SunPower, and with Yahoo, where she was responsible for Engagement and Total Rewards.
