Founded in Frankfurt in 1992, Matrix42 provide digital workspace management software for medium and large-sized enterprises across Europe and North America. The company offers a centralized and automated platform that provides authenticated access to workspaces across aggregated physical, virtual and mobile environments and automates IT processes, license management and support functionalities, helping to improve the efficiency of an organization’s IT department.
In April 2021, Matrix42 were acquired by Corten Capital, a specialist Private Equity firm which invests in technology-driven B2B software, services and data businesses in Europe and North America. Matrix42 was Corten’s first acquisition and forms part of their first €512m fund investing in a focused portfolio of 2-3 platform companies.
Following Corten Capital’s investment in the business in 2021, Matrix42 has been investing heavily in its international expansion, and in transforming and enhancing the quality of its processes and team to maximize the company’s potential. Critical to this transformation is the role of the Chief People Officer.
Reporting to the CEO, Matrix42 was seeking a Chief People Officer who could play an active role in the end-to-end re-engineering of the People function from implementing the basics of a well performing People team, right through to positioning the function at the strategic heart of the company to support its ambitions as it embarks on the next chapter of its growth journey under Corten Capital’s ownership.
Erevena executed an extensive search across Europe, but with a primary focus in Germany, and secured Tanja Albrecht, who was SVP Human Resources at Software AG. Having spent two years prior to Software AG as Chief People Officer at PlanetHome preceded by a decade with Microsoft, Tanja brings with her a wealth of people leadership in multinational technology companies. She is a proven trusted advisor on all people related topics, and a driver of cultural change and organizational optimization.
Matrix42 has been partnering with Erevena on a project to strengthen its leadership team, including the critical hires of Chief People Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, VP Engineering, and Head of Cloud Architecture. Erevena thoroughly analysed and understood our needs and instilled a well-managed and supportive process.
